West Visayas State University's busy year of extension activities culminated with the conduct of the first ever Extension Year-End Review and 2016 Planning Workshop held last December 10-11, 2015 at Iloilo Midtown Hotel.
In its bid to strengthen the monitoring and evaluation component of the university in the implementation of its extension mandate, the University Extension and Development Office (UEDC) conducted the two-day activity for extension coordinators and project leaders from nine colleges in the main campus and five external campuses. During the first day of the workshop, the participants presented the performance of their respective extension programs and projects as well as budget allocation and fund utilization. The second day of the workshop was solely devoted to the crafting of the 2016 extension work and financial plan to be implemented by the participants.
Dr. Ma. Lulu L. Loyola, Dr.Ricky P. Becodo and Dr. Bernabe B. Cocjin served as evaluators during the output presentation and critiquing. The consolidated output of the workshop will serve as basis for implementing new programs in 2016 and for efficient monitoring of project funds and effective allocation of resources for extension projects.
