Mindanao State University is in the forefront of developing food products that address food security issues in places like Marawi. One versatile vegetable that has enabled the people of Marawi to survive the pandemic is Sakurab (Allium chinensis), a relative of the chive and scallions. The "Organic Sakurab Production and its Halal Product Development" has enabled MSU to develop a variety of Sakurab based products such as Palapa relishes, Sakurab powder, spice blends and concotions. Have a taste of Sakurab products at the booth.
