WESVAARRDEC-WVSU Base Agency, the consortium of DOST-PCCAARD for agriculture, aquatic and natural resources in Region 6 was one of the exhibitors/participants of the Department of  Science and Technology's  National Science and Technology Week 2023 (NSTW 2023) held at the iconic Iloilo City Convention Center (ICON) last November 22-26, 2023. The ICON being Iloilo City's MICE (meetings, incentives, conferencing, exhibitions) destination proved to be the perfect venue to showcase DOST's stunning interactive exhibition and mobile displays, techno-fora, museum hop-on hop-on hop-off tours, awarding ceremonies, scientific lectures as well as business start-up activities staged by the department's various attached agencies, partners and regional consortia. Special event freebies and prizes were also up for grabs for guests and participants comprised mostly of students, educators, S&T enthusiasts coming from various provinces in Region 6.

WESVAARRDEC joined other regional consortia coming from Visayas and Mindanao to promote regional research and development initiatives and products. WESVAARRDEC's consortium member institutions such as ASU, CHMSU, CPSU, ISAT-U, ISUFST and GSU  lent their full support to NSTW 2023. Meanwhile, WVSU's exhibit was facilitated by CAF and Pototan satellite campus.
