UEDC conducts M&E training workshop for WVSU extension implementers

The University Extension and Development Center conducted a capability building activity entitled "Training Workshop on Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) for WVSU Extension Implementers" last September 27-28, 2016 at Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City. The training workshop was attended by 40 participants composed of college deans, campus administrators, department directors, extension coordinators and heads of research and extension offices from external campuses.
During the first day of the training, Ms. Erlinda Chiu, Division Chief of the Project Monitoring and Evaluation Division of NEDA Region 6 discussed Monitoring, Evaluation and Development Results in the Project Development Cycle and the Definition, Difference and Complementarities in M&E. Meanwhile, Ms. Joy Tigres, Senior Economic Development Specialist discussed The M&E Work Plan and Work and Financial Plan. Short workshops were conducted in-between sessions.
During the second day, Engr.Alex Aquio, Supervising Economic Development Specialist discussed the Conduct of Field Monitoring and Problem-Solving Session and Georeferencing (how to interface training photos taken from the field into Google Earth). After the training, the UEDC will seek to create an M&E training manual that will streamline the M&E activities of the center.
