The Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges Extension Managers Council, Inc.-Region 6 (PASUC 6-EMC) conducted a Training-Workshop on Documentation and Packaging of Best Community Extension Practices in Preparation for SUC Levelling and Accreditation last July 18-19, 2019 at La Carmela de Boracay in Boracay Island, Aklan. Despite the inclement weather brought about by tropical depression "Falcon," the seminar was well-attended by extension coordinators and implementers from various SUCs in the region.
The seminar-workshop is considered timely and relevant given the upcoming SUC accreditations scheduled in the third and last quarter of the year.
Prof. Jeanette G. Bayona, EMC President and Extension Director of ISCOF warmly welcomed the participants from member SUCs and enjoined them to maximize their learnings and at the same time rediscover the beauty of the newly rehabilitated Boracay Island.
Dr. Angeline M. Pogoy, Vice-President for Research, Extension and Publication of Cebu Normal University served as resource speaker and lecturer during the first day of the workshop while Mr. Edgar L. Javison, Chief Specialist of Department of Budget and Management served as resource speaker during the second day.
PASUC 6 is a regional association of public tertiary institutions in Western Visayas which includes all state universities and colleges which are under the Commission on Higher Education.
