100 Darag native chickens (80 hens and 20 roosters) were dispersed to farmers-beneficiaries of Yolanda Recovery and Rehabilitation Program (YRRP) in Cadiz City, Negros Occidental last January 14, 2020 through the efforts of Department of Agriculture Region 6 and  University Extension and Development Center (UEDC). UEDC is set to disperse 1,100 heads as per memorandum of agreement  with DA, WESVARRDEC and West Visayas State University. 

The Darag chicken dispersal is one of the activities under the livelihood cluster of  YRRP. The program has 5 clusters namely: infrastructure, resettlement, social services, livelihood, and support clusters.
