UEDC conducts online and onsite 23rd extension in-house review

Considered the most important event in UEDC's calendar of activities, the 23rd Extension In-House Review was held online and onsite at Research and Extension Building, WVSU on  September 15-18, 2020 with proper health and safety protocols in place. The colleges and campuses presented their extension proposals that were technically reviewed beforehand on August  18-20, 2020.

The in-house formally opened with welcome messages from Dr. Ricky P. Becodo, Extension Director; Dr. Ma. Lulu L. Loyola, VP-RET and  WVSU President Dr. Joselito F. Villaruz who presented his blueprint on how West Visayas State University can reach its goal of  being a research university before his term ends. He emphasized, "We should think of ways on how we can translate our research output into meaningful community engagement that can help transform lives and demonstrate sustainability in our adopters. Starting today, let us make serious to undertake community extension programs as products of knowledge we have generated through research. Together we stand and commit that we will be change agents through the significant activities we conduct, albeit remotely for now."

The following campuses/colleges presented their extension proposals either online via Google Meet or onsite on the following schedule: 

September 15, 2020-  WVSU Calinog, Lambunao and Pototan

September 16, 2020- WVSU Janiuay, College of Nursing, College of Agriculture and Forestry

September 17, 2020- College of Education, College of PESCAR, College of Arts and Sciences, College of Medicine

September 18, 2020- College of Business and Management , College of Information and Communications Technology, College of Communications

The panel of evaluators was composed of Dr. Greta Gabinete (URDC Director), Ms. Ma. Lydia G. Callano (Planning Officer), Dr. Marlene S. Gloria (Faculty, WVSU Pototan) and Ms. Febie Ibojos (Country Director, Signpost Phils., Inc).
