The University Extension and Development Center of West Visayas State University held another training last May 23, 2023 in line with Dr. Ricky P. Becodo’s project on Darag Native Chicken in Sara, Iloilo. This training is one of the outcomes of an assessment conducted in selected barangays in the municipality last month.

The Writeshop on Barangay Ordinance was participated by Barangay Captains and Kagawad-in-charge. Ms. Fe Seta D. Encontro, UEDC staff, introduced Dr. Becodo as the resource speaker of the training. She also presented the deliveries and assessment conducted. SB Dennis E. Caraecle, Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Cooperatives, Vice Mayor Ryan S. Zerrudo, and Mayor Jon N. Aying all conveyed messages of support for the training.

Dr. Becodo provided participants with handouts and sample forms to use as a foundation for their ordinance writing. Participants were engaged and interested in the training as they asked questions and sought clarification on the subject.
