The WVSU College of Business and Management (CBM) extended assistance to the farmers of Sara, Iloilo to sustain the Darag Native Chicken Project. On August 2-3, 2023, the Dean of the College, Dr. Corazon M. Samorin, led a training course on cooperativism for Darag Chicken beneficiaries.

During the training, various topics such as cooperative governance, roles, functions, responsibilities were discussed. The Sara Darag Raisers Marketing Cooperative was chosen as the coop's official name following the election of officials. The trainees were able to grasp the importance of cooperativism in relation to RA 9520 and its IRR especially universally accepted cooperative principles, tenets and concepts as the classroom type recitation was effective for them.

Argeo C. Porquez concluded the seminar with heartfelt gratitude. Following that, newly elected leaders and members were congratulated.
