The Philippine Association of State Universities and Colleges Extension Managers Council, Inc (PASUC VI-EMC) will be holding its 12th PASUC VI-EMC Regional Extension Symposium and General Assembly on November 15-17, 2023 at Diversion 21 Hotel in Mandurriao, Iloilo City. The lead convenor is Iloilo Science and Technology University and co-hosted by Aklan State University, Capiz State University, Carlos Hilado Memorial State University, Central Philippine University, Central Philippine State University, Guimaras State University, Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology, Philippine Normal University-Visayas, University of Antique and West Visayas State University.
The theme for this year's symposium is "SUCs Leading the Way: Bridging Communities for Sustainable Futures". Participants will be presenting completed extension projects in the following categories: (1) Education and Skill Empowerment; (2) Healthcare and Environmental Stewardship; and Innovation in Sustainable Agri-fishery and Livelihood. There will also be a poster and video documentary presentation.
As an annual undertaking, the activity seeks to share inspiring stories and best practices from SUC's extension programs and also foster networking and collaboration among the particpating SUCs. It is also a venue to identify challenges and issues affecting extension implementation. Furthermore, it seeks to promote interdisciplinary approach for holistic sustainability and encourage participants to advocate for sustainable futures through education and collaboration.
