Gawad Kalinga and partners will launch the Visayas leg of the nationwide BayanAnihan movement through a 3-day summit slated on August 29-31, 2024 at West Visayas State University. The term BayanAnihan stems from the words 'bayan' (country), 'bayani' (hero), 'ani' (harvest), and 'bayanihan" (solidarity with others). Those words inspire a movement of young people who are actively engaged in the agriculture, fishery and forestry sectors and who are on the path to carving a life of economic freedom for themselves and their community.
