The BOOKLAT (Building Opportunities through Open-access Knowledge for Literacy, Advocacy, and Transformation) extension project of WVSU–Pototan Campus officially launched the Tuburan Barangay Reading Center in Brgy. Tuburan, Pototan, Iloilo on April 17, 2026.
The project, anchored on the research of Dr. Analiza C. Rosales on public library accessibility and utilization, established the reading center as an affiliated facility of the National Library of the Philippines. Through the partnership, barangay officials and volunteers receive training support, while community members gain access to literacy programs, tutorials, reading sessions, and other National Library resources designed to promote lifelong learning.
