WVSU supports ART for Climate Change Adaptation

Environment loving volunteers from West Visayas State University joined the Iloilo Provincial Government  in an early morning  mangrove planting activity  dubbed "Action for Re-greening and Transformation for Climate Change Adaptation (ART for CCA) last August 6,2016 at the coastal  area of Katunggan Eco Park in Brgy. Nabitasan, Leganes, Iloilo. Now on its 6th year of implementation, the project aims to plant and grow one million trees  in support of  the re-greening program of the national government and to mitigate the destructive effects of climate change.

A synchronized tree planting activity by foot soldiers was also held in the Province of Iloilo. The activity is organized by the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO-LGU).
